 KDI has successfully
met the challenge of serving the special needs of our
customers for half a century. We began with the manufacture
of mechanical precision watch movements which precipitated
our entrance in to the demanding arena of producing
sophisticated munitions fuzes for the Department of
Defense.
KDI is a world class designer, developer, and manufacturer
of fuzes, safety & arming devices and ignition safety
devices for US and Foreign military defense forces. KDI,
in conjunction with our Armed Forces and Prime military
contractors, continues to extend fuze technologies to
meet the expanding requirements of current and future
weapons systems.
KDI led the development
of ESADs for conventional weapons by certifying the first
ESAD for the ATACMS program. KDI has produced in excess
of 15M electro-mechanical and mechanical fuzes to support
many mortar, artillery, rocket and missile systems
KDI develops and
produces the state of the art proximity fuzes that enable
high speed, high accuracy, extreme environment and low
cost HOB sensors for all types of weapons.
